So we are very fortunate to live in a time when there are many wonderful resources readily available to us for free. Some of my favorites, just like YouTube, you know, just watching simple stuff on YouTube, are Sean Nalewanyi and Jeff Nippard. That's, you know, it's geared towards guys who want to like lift weights and get stronger and get bigger. Their advice, I can't imagine it's not applicable to women as well, but anything from what exercises to do, proper form, intensity of exercise, programming, diet, that sort of thing. I think they're a great resource for all of that.

In terms of helpful resources for fitness equipment, I love the app Strava to track my runs and hikes and everything. It's a good way to know what your pace is, how long you've been going, and how many potential calories you've burned. So I recommend it to everyone who has not tried it.

Some resources I've found super helpful include, this may sound super lame, but Instagram has a lot of really great workout routines that I've been able to find. Of course, you have to be careful and make sure that whoever you're getting the workout routines from are like legitimate, but it can be super helpful if you just don't know what exercises to do to just kind of scroll through Reels or different people who have workout suggestions. MyFitnessPal is also a really good app if you want to do like calorie tracking or things like that. And honestly, if you have an Apple product, phone, watch, health, the health app can be super helpful. It counts your steps, it'll let you know like beats per minute, you can keep track of how much exercising you're doing. So those are some apps and resources that I found helpful.

In regards to building strength, I think it's really important to have a workout partner, a spotter, someone who's there to help you kind of push yourself to go heavier each time. I mean, I guess you really only really need a spotter during certain workouts, you know, maybe bench press, squats, but when you have a spotter, it's just easier to go the extra mile. I found that oftentimes when I feel like, you know, I'm working with a spotter, I'm able to go a little bit heavier knowing that they're there, that if I can't do all I can with the weight, they'll be there to help me out if I need help. And so I think, you know, in regards to trying to push to get stronger, get bigger, having a spotter, someone there to push you to do that extra last rep is very, very helpful.

A helpful app that I use a lot to help track calories and exercises that I do is MyFitnessPal. I use that a lot and it helps me keep track of my food intake. And there's lots of these out there but there's so many people that make their own workout programs that you can follow. There's so many out there you just choose the one that works best for you.

One of my favorite resources to use recently has been TikTok, but a fair warning is that although there is a lot of information on TikTok, that does not mean that it is all true. It is always important to fact check and it's really easy to just, you know, get caught up on wanting to listen to your favorite influencers rather than listening to, you know, licensed professionals, but I highly recommend just making sure that wherever you're getting your information from, it's a credible source.

There are so many helpful resources in our world today, especially with social media. There's a lot of great Instagram pages that you can follow. Just make sure that they are certified and that they know what they're talking about, just so that you're not getting false information. There's also a lot of great YouTube channels that can help you get started as well.

One of the best things that's helped me on my fitness journey is definitely the free resources that you find on YouTube and someone else talked about that already, but I want to talk specifically about looking for videos that show you how to have good form, because you can take a workout and just move super heavyweight but have really bad form and do that same full workout with good form good strict form, and you'll see way more gains way more strength built by having good form and so and also you'll be 10 times safer. So learn how to have good form. Look it up on YouTube. There's tons of good fitness coaches professional ones to that put it on there so you can stay safe and get better gains.
