The Finnish standard of living is quite expensive compared to other European countries, but, for example, Norway is considerably more expensive than Finland. The price of a milk carton is a little over a euro, and if you go to a restaurant for lunch, it can be around 10-20 euros, depending on what you buy. It is quite cheap to travel by public transport. For example, a bus ticket to the Helsinki area is around 3 euros or 3.20 euros, to a large extent. The price of gasoline is expensive because it costs a lot of tax, and, of course, the cost of living generally depends on where you live or go in Finland. So it is always more expensive in the capital market.
