Some things that I've noticed that help me with my endometriosis symptoms is making sure that I'm eating a healthier diet and that I'm exercising. I found that when I choose to eat a little bit less healthy and I'm not as active during the day, my symptoms get worse over time or over the next few days. But whenever I prioritize my diet and my physical activity, I found that my symptoms are as bad. So that's what I found has worked for me.

Outside of the information that you can gather here on the Lifey app, I've also found private groups on Facebook to be really helpful in sharing stories and hearing other people's experiences and also getting feedback when you have questions. So on Facebook, if you just search endometriosis and then join a group, you may have to answer a few questions to get in, but I highly recommend joining that. I learned so much more from my Facebook groups than I really ever did from a doctor just because people have so much more time than doctors do to spend with you going over different symptoms, questions, tips you may be looking for prior to surgery or just on a month-to-month basis. It's just really helpful to read everyone else's experiences there.

My top tip would be to reach out on social media and Facebook and find a group in your area of people that experience the same thing as it's much easier to speak to people who've been through what you're going through and can help you if you get stuck finding a good surgeon or consultant. It's taken me four years to do this but it's definitely worthwhile if you've got someone you can message who when things are getting really tough, when you're waiting for an operation or just after an operation, they can be really supportive. That way even if you're not close geographically and you can't meet up it's really helpful to have someone that you can just message about things.
