Egypt

When we were visiting Luxor, they highlighted just how little rain they ever get. It had been four years since they had any rain at all, and they said four years ago it rained for 30 minutes, and they let all the little primary school kids out of school to go running out and experience rain because they'd heard about water falling from the sky and had never experienced it. So they let the little kids have fun in the rain, and then the heavens closed for the next four years.

It is hot in Egypt. It is very very hot. Please go during winter months because it is hot in Egypt. You're gonna be sweating. They told us it never rained in Egypt, and then when we were there it did rain a little bit, but not a ton. It's a very deserty place and it's hot. It's so hot.
