So I love that there's so many resources online to be helpful. Something like BetterHelp is if you're not comfortable with like meeting with a therapist outside can be really helpful. A lot of schools will offer therapy and there's also professional therapists who can help talk to you through the things that you're going through and sometimes medication might be required but that's something that's been really helpful for me.

One of the best resources that I found for my depression was therapy. I went to therapy every week for about six years. I stopped therapy for a while and now I'm going back and I'm completely okay with that. I think it helped me to learn that I could get help and that I needed help and it also helped to have an outside perspective on things and someone who is licensed and trained and professional with dealing with these types of situations and with these certain mental illnesses. I think it just helped me so much to realize how to properly grieve and how to properly handle my depression.

One of my favorite resources that I've used for depression is an app called Sanvelo. It helps you track like your mood and the things that have happened and then you can also read what other people have to say and what they've experienced and just find some encouragement. So that's really helped me especially when I'm having a really hard time just to see that other people made it through and you know to go back and look at my trends of moods and realize that other times when I've been really down that things did get better. So I would really suggest using Sanvelo.

Great resources are 988, Suicide Hotline. You can find, if you just search online, I have been able to find a couple that I can't remember right now, but I've been able to find a couple just chat rooms that you can chat with each other while you're waiting to chat with a therapist or a crisis worker.
