Relationship tips - Depression Video Transcripts
Video 1 Transcript
I find in relationships I need to be comfortable with the person and pretty happy with the person otherwise I get depressed, I get messed up, I get scared, all that sort of thing. I haven't found the right person yet but if I do I think I will notice a difference in my depression and everything. You have to be comfortable with your partner and happy. If it's not working out don't put yourself through it, it'll just make your depression worse.

Be patient with those with depression and check in on them. Try to be the person that they can come bite in. Don't react crazy whenever they let you know that they're struggling, even if you feel like they've been struggling a long time because they need to have that support in that moment. They need to have you there. Be willing to listen, be willing to hear.

So something that I feel like is really helpful in a relationship is not expecting your significant other to like fix all the problems that you have, right? And not in a bad way, but in a sense that it's able to like put it on the depression and not on the relationship, which will be helpful as you're trying to navigate having a relationship while experiencing depression.
