I think my biggest advice for cross country is to just get started, put a pair of shoes on, and start running. It's definitely a sport that's mind over matter. I mean, your body doesn't want to run, that sounds boring, you know, you don't want to feel the pain of doing all those things. Maybe it's winter and it's cold outside, you don't want to get out there, but I think just by going, especially if you go with a friend, it'll help you get started. That's one of my favorite things about running cross country. I was never super good at it, I was never, you know, like a state athlete or whatever, but it was fun to do with my friends. We'd all be able to get together after school, go for a run for an hour or two, and have fun together. You'd be running, jogging, whatever, and talking, and getting to know each other, so I'd say just start running and do it with a friend, and that'll help a lot.
