I'm going to give you one more important tip here. Surround yourself with people who will give you really honest feedback. If you have people in your life that say every one of your songs is great and it's amazing and they love it, that's fine, but don't use them as a helper. I have three or four people that I go to regularly who tear my songs apart, who say I don't like this or that, or who like my husband says, you can do better. It's not even close really. Bless your heart. He is so great to have. I have a couple of children who do the same for me. I have a sister who does the same. Surround yourself with people who will criticize in a really kind way your work so that you can make it better and it will be better if you will do that. I promise.
