When I had cavities, my tooth got really sensitive. Whenever I drink cold or hot water, I'll feel pain in my tooth right away. Or whenever I bite or chew on hard food, I'll feel pain on my tooth and it was very painful. One of the other symptoms can be like for me, I had a visible hole in my teeth which indicated that I had cavities.

I went to the dentist a couple weeks ago, didn't think I had any cavities, but I had had a tooth that was pretty sensitive, but I didn't like see anything on it. I found out I did have a couple cavities on that tooth, so just FYI, if your tooth is feeling sensitive and you don't normally have sensitivity, maybe it's time to go get it checked.
