So when you're supporting a cancer patient, it's different for every person, but for me personally, I hated it when people came up to me like, oh, I'm so sorry. Don't be that person, all right? Come, smile, give them a good time, treat them like they were before. They're still a person, they're still who they are. Bring jokes, bring snacks, even if they can't have them, but bring snacks that you think they can have. Hard candies are great to bring. But when you're there to support, just be there to be there. When you're in the hospital, it gets really lonely. So when you have someone just to sit there and just even just be there or someone to talk to, it's always a great thing to have. That's the best way.
