So many people at BYU-Idaho that still inspire me to this day. And sometimes it was people I didn't even get to know super well. For example, there was a girl that I had a certain conversation with her at a party. I'd never met her before. And I met her at a get-together and she just asked me like just the right questions that like helped me heal from like things that hard experiences I was holding on to and didn't know why they happened and things like that. And we didn't like hang out a ton the rest of our time at BYU-Idaho. But whenever we saw each other, we were so happy to see each other. And now she lives in Utah and I like randomly like was like, yeah, I would love to see you. And she was like so sincere and stuff once again. And like, I don't know, they're just... BYU-Idaho attracts those kind of people sometimes. And like they're just people that are so sincere and so loving and have so much room in their hearts that even after years, they still care about you and it's awesome.

Someone who was really inspirational for me while I was at BYU-Idaho was my YSA bishop, and I would say for all you guys out there that are watching this, your ward is a big part of your influence in your social. If you have a great ward, then it makes your life so much easier at BYU-Idaho. My bishop, Bishop Christensen, at the time was fantastic, and he was the reason I got endowed before I opened my mission call, and he just did so many great things for me, and still to this day I'm in contact with him, and he made such a big influence in my life.

It's hard for me to pinpoint one inspirational person because there are so many professors and faculty members and staff who are focused on the spirit, who are focused on the core goals, on the gospel, on the doctrine, and are willing to help out and even mentor. I mean, I could start naming names like in my music program, Sister Ida Ashby, Brother Randall Kempton. I'd have to name all of them actually, you know, like my voice coach, Sister Piper Busselberg, Brother Busselberg, her husband. I mean, the list goes on and on. That's just the music department. Like I mean, the manager for the roller skate and the bowling where I was a DJ at roller skate, Brother Rose, awesome person as well. I mean, I could go on and on. The staff, there are so many great staff. I can't name them all.

One of the most inspirational people for me there at BYU was Brother Christensen. He taught biology and it was a while ago so I'm not sure if he's still there. He taught in such a cool way where he brought the gospel where appropriate into the teaching of science and kind of made me realize that science and the gospel can work together. They're not competing against each other. You can be a very devout scientist and a very devout member of the church and I thought he balanced the two and he was just so fun and funny and you could tell he cared deeply about people understanding like the principles of biology and he knew everybody's name even though it was a huge class and I just really had a lot of respect and admiration for him.
