The campus has many stories about rich histories, whether it's spiritual, physical, mental, social, or emotional aspects of history, but I'd say do your best to leave a legacy. You want to leave it better, not worse.

So most people know that BYU-Idaho used to be called Ricks College, and actually the name Rexburg comes from the name Ricks. It used to be Ricksburg. Thomas E. Ricks was the one who founded it, and a little backstory on him, he and his family started a branch of a different church 10 years before they met the missionaries and all of them converted. They joined the pioneers on the plains to come to Utah, and somewhere along their journey actually, they were ambushed, and when they tried to pursue them and get their things back, he actually was shot three times in his chest. And as he's laying on the ground, he has this voice come to him, and they talked about this in the school, that says that you're not gonna die, like you are going to like lead a good life, and you are going to start a college, and that's what he did. So, cool.
