The best place to eat is Ma's Pizza. It's on University.
I think my favorite place to eat at BYU is Blue Line. It's in the Tanner building so it's not in the Wilk where most people eat, but it is just a good variety or like a different than your regular fast food. It kind of gives like a little bit of Cafe Rio or Costa Vida vibe to me because it's like that Mexican like salads, bowls, burritos kind of vibe. And so it's super good, totally recommend, and it's just nice to get away from the Wilk every once in a while.
Best chicken in all of Provo is Bok Bok fried chicken. It's kind of over by the Wash in the Windies on the west side of campus. It's like a little bit of a walk but it's definitely definitely worth it. They can be like a little stingy sometimes with the sauces but if you're nice and give them a smile they'll be generous so best chicken ever.
So one of my favorite places to eat on campus is the Pendulum Court Cafe in the Eyring Science Center. Usually they're open at like 11 30 but you should probably get there around 11 15 11 10 to get in line because the line is super long. But the meals are pretty cheap, it's about seven to eight dollars for a pretty big portion. It's usually like a bigger portion plus two sides and then they have like they're pretty cheap desserts like cookies, scones, other stuff like that. The menu rotates, it's something different every day. I've seen they have like Italian food, barbecue, Mexican food, stuff like that. So I think you can check them out on you can just google the BYU Pendulum Court Cafe and there's a website where you can look for the menu and the prices and stuff but it's a pretty good place to eat.
One of my favorite healthier options is choices and I like it because there's like a bunch of different you can create your own bowl and there's like a bunch of different bases you can like kind of customize put your own like protein and veggies and then sauce in it so it's like really fresh and it's one of my favorites
The cafe in the library has very yummy snacks.
There's a place that is east of campus called the Steak Express. If you love, if you like Philly cheesesteak that's the place to be and they have the best banana splits ever as well. So the Great Steak Express just west of campus.
So at least when I was there, there were seven brothers and I really liked them. I actually just went to another place of theirs just last night and they have these really, really good garlic shrimp bowls. They have a salad and seasoned rice and it was phenomenal. Anyway, really, really recommend that. There's also some local sushi places there that after, I want to say it's like after five o'clock, all the sushi rolls are half off. So I've definitely gone and bought like five of those because they're dirt cheap and they're really good.
If you head up to Orem by the mall, there's this place called Holy Taco that makes some amazing, amazing tacos that are really good to eat. Another good place is anywhere that's Thai. There's a whole lot of Thai food around here.
Harvey's is, I'd say, like the best place on campus to get a burger, I guess, or like breakfast, breakfast burritos and like tater tots and stuff like that. It's really good, better than the Creamery in my opinion.
Hey, is there any place better than brick oven pizza?
Three places in Provo that I would recommend, Chicken in the Kitchen rocks, really good. Bombay House, decent Indian food, and Backdoor Burger makes a very, very good hamburger. So, if you've got a hankering for any one of those three things, try it.
Me and my husband just went to this place called Fancy Burger. It's in Orem. It was so good. Little pricey maybe, but it was really good. So highly recommend Fancy Burger.
The best place to eat on campus, and I would say one of the best hacks of being a BYU student, is the BYU Creamery. Do not ever buy the adult meal. Always get the kids meal. It's the exact same size, and it has the exact same toppings, and you get everything. The fries, you even get a scoop of ice cream and a drink. You have a small cup, but you can refill it as many times as you want. So it's like six dollars for a hamburger, fries, drink, and ice cream. It saved my life multiple times.
Best pizza in town, Ma's Pizza, downtown Provo. Super authentic, a little pricey, but if you go with a group of people, totally worth it.
So this place to eat hack was given to me actually by a professor and she was all like, the move to do is don't go to like Burger King, Wendy's, McDonald's or whatever. You need to go to the BYU Creamery and get the kid's meal. Now the kid's meal, it's not a kid's meal. All they do is just put a little smaller bun on top. So it's actually like full-size hamburger. And then it also comes with ice cream and drink and fries. So really, and the whole thing's like six bucks. So if you want like massive portions, but for like dirt cheap, just do the kid's meal at BYU Creamery. Every student just does the kid's meals anyways. And like, the people don't even care that like you're like 20 something adult, like getting a kid's meal.
Kay's Kitchen on Center Street has really simple but delicious Japanese food. They have some katsu chicken, which is to die for, and it comes with like a curry and some rice, and the service is really good as well. They're super, super nice, and I feel like the prices are pretty fair as well, so definitely give it a shot.
One of my favorite places to eat is called Cheesecake. Obviously they sell cheesecake there. It's really good. They have weekly flavors that like alternate every week. It's really good. It's a pretty good price. It's only like downtown Provo, so it's not too far from campus. You can just ride the bus from campus down to the Provo City Center Temple and just walk up the street. It's just right there. It's maybe like a five minute, five or so minute drive I guess. But yeah, it's not too far. It's really good. Really good flavors and yeah, I recommend it.
The best place to eat on campus is probably the Blue Line because it's in the Tanner Building, which is the coolest building.
So everyone always raves about Bombay House being the best Indian food in Provo, but it's actually India Palace on Center Street. Definitely give that place a shot if you are craving some delicious chicken tikka masala.
In the engineering building, they have really good tater tots. In the Cougar Eat, Wendy's has great fries and have a great deal with the four for four whenever they have that or just some great deals if you want a quick bite. Taco Bell has the crunch wrap, which I think is also really good. While these are all fast food items, that's kind of what you get when you're on campus at BYU and it's Utah, so it's not like you're probably getting much healthy anyways, but if you want some healthy, I guess you can go for the healthy bowl, but those are quick little bites to eat when you're on campus.
A new place that I just went to that was so good is called Medici. It's at like University Mall but it's so good. It's kind of pricey but you can get like the 50 like buy one get one free at like a student saving card and I got this like fig and goat like fig and goat cheese pizza. So good.
There's also this place called Slab Pizza. It's right off the edge of campus. It's underneath campus plaza housing and I have gone there several times because I live near it and it is so good. You come out with like these like giant pieces of pizza and you get like three and I specifically love the chicken bacon ranch one. It is super fire. It's just like right underneath all those apartments on the edge of campus by the LFC.
One of my favorite places to eat was Blue Line. It's in the Tanner building. It's just like kind of like a deli with their sandwiches and soups and stuff. There's nothing like too special about it, but it was just always good. It always hit the spot. And I also feel like the Kugri was just so packed all the time and Blue Line was a lot more chill. Like, places to sit, not so many people in there, and the food was good. There's a lot of variety. Healthy options, so.
My favorite place to eat is called Bombay House in Provo and they serve Indian food and I would highly recommend it because the service is really good. It's always super busy though so you have to go and get your name on the waitlist and then go like do something else or I don't know but would highly recommend.
One of my favorite places to eat is off campus but it's really close to BYU. It's in downtown Provo and it's called Ma's Pizza, M-O-Z-Z. It's a little bit more on the pricey side but if you're looking to have like a special occasion or date night, Ma's Pizza is one of my favorite places to eat. I also really like to eat on campus. Choices is one of my favorite places to eat if I'm looking for something to eat on campus in the Cougar Eats.
My favorite place to eat on BYU campus, it's on the south side of BYU campus, is Slab Pizza. It's really good and it's super cheap. It's only about five to eight dollars per person and it's actually like super filling.
There are a lot of chains, a lot of fast food, but if you are looking for something outside of your normal chains, I would probably go either to Center Street or to Orem. That's probably your best bet in getting some type of different type, maybe more mom and pop. In Center Street, you have a Japanese place called Deme. You have a Thai place called Silver Thai Dish. You have a pho place and there's a couple more options. Oh, there's a Salvadorian place called the Salvadorian Restaurant, so there's definitely some good choices. Up in Orem, you do also have another Japanese restaurant that's also pretty good that's on State Street, so there's definitely good options to check out on either.
One of my other favorite places to eat is called Bull's Superfoods. It's like on that line of stores that's right by Helaman Halls. It's by like Wendy's and The Wash. It's like some chicken place right there. It's an acai bowl place and it is absolutely fire. I love it. I will admit it's super expensive so I don't go there very often but when I want to treat myself that is where I go because it is so good. They always have fresh fruit. The acai is super good. They've got this like coconut almond butter and it is to die for. So if you're in the mood to drop a bunch of money on good food there's your place.
Another place that I recommend to eat that's a little bit more undercover is Harvey's in the engineering building. They have really good breakfast burritos and hash browns and all that and not a lot of people know about it but it's really good.
