I met my husband in high school in English class.
I met my husband at BYU totally unexpectedly freshman year. He and I were at similar gatherings and parties, and so I knew who he was, but it wasn't until our first official date, which was on Valentine's Day, kind of a risky, bold move, but it paid off in the end, and we survived the two year mission, and we're about to celebrate our 25th year of marriage.
We got set up on a blind date. Yep. It's a success story of a blind date. I wouldn't have believed if it didn't happen to me, but it was my mom's best friend that set us up. And the way that my husband met my mama's best friend was by serving a mission in Albuquerque, New Mexico. And when she met him, my mom's best friend, and she thought of me and said, when they both get home for their missions, I'm going to set 'em up. So I got home for my mission the beginning of August, and in the beginning of September I got set up with my now husband and the rest is history. Sounds super crazy and a little cliche, but it's genuine and it's the best decision I've ever made. We went mini golfing and we just talked and talked and my soul is just drawn to him genuinely, and it's super awesome. So happy as can be. Recommend meeting your husband on a blind date.
