One of the greatest religion professors at BYU is Brother Griffiths. He can talk really fast, but his lectures are the most interesting lectures I have ever experienced at BYU. And he loves his students and really wants you to succeed in his class and just throughout your whole career at BYU.

The best professors in my opinion at BYU would have to be Troy Lewis, Scott Spendlove, and Corbin Church. They're all adjunct faculty and teach a variety of classes. So if you ever get a class with any of them, all three of them are in the business school. But yeah, they're incredible and they're very fair when it comes to tests and homework and whatnot. And so I highly recommend them. And they also just have really great life experience that they share and bring to the classroom.

Favorite professor? Brother Terger. He's just amazing. Really puts a lot of effort into his lessons. He teaches some religion courses. I'm taking Book of Mormon from him and he is wonderful. Just has a really strong testimony and doesn't push his beliefs on anybody, but really opens the door for you to think for yourself and gives some contemplative questions for you to think about and applies the Book of Mormon to your own life in ways I didn't even consider. So he's just a phenomenal professor. Really cares about his students and is just a kind person. You can always talk to him after class or during office hours about anything that you're curious about. He talks to a lot of people outside of our church and does a lot of interfaith activities and just is very knowledgeable and just a great professor and person.

I am not a big chemistry person, but if you have to take chemistry 106, take it from Dr. Macedoni. He is the best professor.

If I could go back now, I would go to Brandon Sanderson's creative writing class. The man is a genius. His books are great. What an opportunity. So you can find out from people all around you who's the best in that particular class and see if you can't take them. I know you have to take whatever fits your schedule, but I will recommend Brandon Sanderson. I think he is amazing. What an opportunity. If you're there, if you have any interest at all in writing, go with Brandon Sanderson.

Someone I highly recommend for a religion teacher, he goes by, or his name is Casey Griffiths. I'm taking his Foundations of the Restoration class here at BYU. He's a great teacher. His lectures are very, he's a very intellectual and smart man, but he explains things simple enough that it's easy for you to understand. And his lectures are engaging and they have some humor in them and it's really not, they're not too hard to understand and you learn a lot about, in that class specifically, about church history and other cool things about the church. And he makes you think, but like in a good way, not too much.

My favorite professor was Curl, Economics, Econ 110. It was my favorite class at BYU. Also the most failed single class at BYU, but if you want a challenge and you like economics, take it from Curl. It's a fantastic class.

My favorite professor in the religion department is Anthony Sweatt. I took Foundations of the Restoration from him and he is just a really fun teacher to listen to. His lectures are very engaging and he's very real which I really really appreciate. He talks about really hard issues in a very transparent yet honest way that feels very genuine and authentic which I think is really important when talking about religion especially about the early days of the church and he is a very talented artist too and so he just has a lot of different insights and talents that he loves to share with the class.

Another one of my favorite professors in the School of Family Life is Dr. Mark Butler. He's just a really nice guy and knows a lot about what he's talking about and so he is just a really great professor to take classes from and he offers and teaches multiple different classes in the School of Family Life.

One of my favorite professors at BYU was Guy Dorias. He was my Eternal Families professor and he has since passed away. He has some troubling health conditions, but he taught me how to love the gospel and really how to set up a successful marriage, and I just loved having him. He really cared about us individually and about receiving revelation. And then another professor that I loved was Brian Hill. He taught Experience Design 300, which is called Creating a Good Life, and he just had such optimism for life and he helped me to recognize that I can set goals and really generate and create this good life that I want.

My favorite professor at BYU is Darren Billeter. He's one of the marketing professors and I took his class last semester and he teaches one of the first classes in the junior core and he is so wonderful. I swear I learned, I felt more spiritually uplifted in his class than I did in any of my religion classes and he's just a marketing professor but he does such a good job. He makes you feel so special, you know, and you work really hard in the class but he makes it all worth it and it pays off in the long run. So if you're interested in marketing, I look forward to taking a class from him.

One of my favorite professors here at BYU is actually Professor Skinner. He is a physical science professor, so if you're a freshman or even a sophomore, that's an amazing class to take. Very informative. I love that one of my favorite classes and I would take it from Professor Skinner. Super funny, you'll love him, you'll learn lots.

Professor Swenson taught marketing. That was a class that really I didn't think was going to be very interesting or one that I'd like a lot, but his way of teaching and his way of explaining the concepts that we learned was really interesting. He's a really funny man. He has some really specific and unique hobbies and likes. He's really into Ikea, which I think is hilarious. He always talks about it, and so I think his way of being able to connect with each student even though it was a class of more than 700 students was really impressive to me and was something that I felt really confident in this class just because I could tell that he cared about each student individually.

So honestly, I've been blessed with so many great professors here at BYU, but if I had to choose, you know, just one, honestly, Professor Jim Brough. He's a finance professor. He is so awesome. I mean, really, he just, he really cares about his students and how they're doing in and out of the classroom. One thing that I love that he does is every lecture, you know, it's, it's very, he throws a lot of information at us when we're taking notes and stuff on finance and, but always halfway through he takes like 10 to 15 minutes to have a spiritual thought. And honestly, some of his spiritual thoughts are just, have been some of the most like spiritual moments like that I've had in the last like year or two. Like he just is really passionate, has a really strong testimony of the gospel. And it's just comforting and nice to know that when I'm going to my class, my finance class, not only am I going to be studying finance and, and, you know, learning all that, but I can also learn something spiritually and, and feel the spirit as well in the classroom.

I would have to say my favorite professor is Dr. Fullwood. Two reasons. First off, he's British, which is just so fun and very interesting to listen to. The second being that he reminds me of Mr. Bean, who's hilarious, so it just all works out.

If you ever have to take any Spanish classes, I highly recommend David Wiseman. He is a Spanish professor, super awesome. I took two Spanish classes from him just because he was so awesome. I waited a whole year to take the second class that I needed to take just because I wanted to take it from him. He emphasizes more about learning rather than any grades. He does a great job of incorporating everything that BYU wants you to get out of a class or get out of your time at BYU, and he incorporates it into the weekly schedule. So you're always doing something that's going to make your learning impactful and meaningful. Also, he's an awesome Spanish speaker. He's just a great teacher and really a great friend too. If you ever need any support or anything like that, he was always willing to help and always willing to support you as a student.

I've had some amazing professors at BYU. I've only been here, this is my second semester here, so it's not like I've had a ton of different professors. But just to give some examples, Dr. Gee, he teaches physical science. I have never been crazy passionate about science, it's always been interesting, but he made science so interesting to me and just gave me a passion to learn about physical science of the world around us. And then Dr. Nelson, he teaches biology. His big theme is instilling a sense of wonder in his students, and I've been way more interested in the things around me, the world around me, just because of those professors being so passionate. But then you also have people who teach business, for example. I took Professor Swenson in marketing, and he made me so interested in marketing, and I never thought I had any interest in marketing. And so really, all the professors there, they just care about you, and I wish I could talk about all of them, it would take too long. They're all amazing, they want you to succeed, and they help you grow spiritually at BYU, which is a great part of the university.

One of my all-time favorite professors was Professor Brother Gaskill and he was one of the religion professors who teaches the World Religions class. It was by far and away my favorite religion class that I took at BYU because I appreciated how he brought in his personal experiences and knowledge and helped me understand religion to a whole new level. And he was hilarious, always made for a good laugh, and treated things with as much respect, but I was never tired or bored on a Monday night class for three hours.

One of my favorite professors at BYU is Jeffrey Hill. He makes learning about loans and how to buy insurance and mortgages very, very interesting and you always leave class feeling empowered and like you were going to be a winner when it came to managing your own finances.

So I am fortunate right now to have a class from Brother Hank Smith. It's called Jesus Christ and the Everlasting Gospel. Obviously it's a great class and I will say it is a little bit intense but when I just say intense he covers a lot of content but his lectures are great and it has some humor in it and the spirit's there and it's really easy to connect at least for me with a guy like Brother Hank Smith and he's really well with the college age group of people in this generation. So yeah, great professor. Highly recommend him for a religion class.

Mark Hughes, he's a math professor and he teaches like Calculus 2 as well as Math 290 and Linear Algebra. Sometimes, it depends, but he's a math teacher and he is fantastic. By far, I think like one of my top three professors that I've had at BYU. So if you ever have a chance to take from him, I strongly recommend it.

Some of my favorite professors at BYU were Rachel Tomko, who taught anatomy. She gave me such a divine appreciation for the body and I've never felt so spiritual about it before without her. She's incredible. Hank Smith is an incredible religion teacher. I'm hoping he's still there because he was phenomenal and everyone in the communications college is phenomenal. Lori Wilson is as smart as a whip. If she's not teaching there anymore, reach out to that lady and get her to help you because she knows so much about public relations and communications. They are a must. Get to be friends with them. They're the must-haves.

My favorite professor that I've had at BYU, I'm only a freshman so I've only been here for two semesters, but his name is Casey Griffiths. He is a religion professor and he made me excited to go to his class and I felt like I knew the gospel really well but he like always taught me something new and always made me look at it in a new perspective and he's like really funny and really spiritual.

I was a psychology major so some of my favorite professors that I had were in the psychology department but I really liked taking classes from Dr. Blake Jones and Dr. Dawn Marie Wood. I took psych 111 and then psychology of gender from them and I really liked those classes a lot and I felt like they were the most beneficial and classes that I learned a lot from and I learned things I could apply both in school and outside of school and the professors had a lot to do with that. They're just really awesome, really nice, really easy to work with, really understanding and they just made the class more engaging and fun.

I really love Tammy Hill. She teaches marriage prep. I loved Brother Brow who teaches finance in the Marriott School. And then I was a comms major, so in the communications department. I loved Professor Wilson and Dr. Knighton. They're fabulous. And then any of the adjuncts were also amazing.

Professor that I had from my American Heritage class, his name was Dr. Kimball. And while I had heard a lot of stuff about American Heritage, about how it's hard and not super fun, I went into it with kind of just not knowing what to expect. But Dr. Kimball actually made it a really cool and fun learning experience. Because while we talked about, of course, a lot of stuff with American history and things like that, he explained it to us in ways that we could understand. He always made it super fun by showing clips from different movies and stuff like that. And he always just made it, and he always did class in a way that would make it relatable to us. And he'd be super funny, super enjoyable. And he'd really take something that a lot of people could consider to be boring or just not super interesting. And he really made it a fun learning environment.

I actually had a lot of professors at BYU that I really liked. Classes are so large and sometimes they're via phone and that type of thing, but there's a lot of good professors there. Every once in a while, one of them really clicked, and it was fun to get to know some of them. Give them a chance. It's just like in junior high, high school. You like some, you don't like some, but give it a chance. There are a lot of good professors there.

I attended BYU many years ago, but I can still remember one of my favorite professors. It was Professor Benson, and he taught New Testament, and it was President Benson's son, President Benson the prophet's son, and it was just interesting to take class from him because he could talk often about his dad and experiences, and although we were studying the New Testament, it kind of felt like we had an insight into President Benson's life and his teachings in his family life, and it was just fun to hear about the prophet on a little bit more personal level, and he was just so knowledgeable. He could just share so much knowledge and so much cross-reference between the the books of scripture, and I just really enjoyed my classes from Brother Benson.

My favorite professor when I was a student at BYU as an undergrad student was Dr. Duaney Jeffrey. He was in the College of Biology and Agriculture, and I had him for genetics as well as evolutionary science. And he was just very insightful, had just a tremendous amount of knowledge, but really made you want to dig into the subject and really do your best to try and learn and understand. And he was truly inspirational to me.

I would highly recommend taking Dr. Jaron Hinckley's Music 101 class. It's a really fun way to get your arts GE and you get exposed to a lot of cool classical music. I would highly recommend taking Dr. Pope's Intro to Greek and Roman Literature class. It is one of the best ways to get your letters GE.
