My very favorite devotional was Brad Wilcox's talk. I believe it's called The Gift of Grace. I first discovered it when I was a missionary, and it was so perfect for me to listen to at that time. It just describes the relationship between grace and works. It describes how Christ can enable us to do things we wouldn't normally be able to do on our own, and it is to this day my favorite doctrine to know. It's my most treasured piece of knowledge that I know. So that's my favorite devotional.

As of right now, my favorite devotional has to be when Dallas Jenkins came last semester in fall 2024. I'm a huge Chosen fan and so it was pretty exciting to see him come out and support all of the BYU students and that we don't have to feed the 5,000, we just have to bring Christ our small offering of a few loaves and fishes.

While at BYU, I did my best to attend or listen to every devotional on Tuesday mornings and I cannot tell you as one that I wasn't inspired by somehow. If I went in with the attitude that I could learn and grow from it, I had some little piece of inspiration I could pull out. So I don't think it's just one, but just go to them. They're all inspirational and you will learn and grow from them.

I'll never forget when President Hinckley came to the Tuesday devotional at BYU campus. We went so early to try to get a seat and I think that was one of the first times that I've got to be in a room with a prophet of God and to feel the spirit and the sacredness when he entered the room and took his seat as we all stood in quiet reverence and then at the end as we sang we thanked the Oh God for a prophet. I loved when the devotionals would bring in prophets and apostles. They were so memorable to me and gave such a great experience to be among a prophet of God.

One of my favorite devotionals from this year was from Elder and Sister Kieran and it was really cool because they talked about how being a child of God like enjoy it and know that through the hard times you're still a child of God and he loves you so much that like he's putting you through these trials to help you grow and help you get back to him.

My favorite devotional at Brigham Young University was given in January of 2025, and it's called God Loves Underdogs, and it was the devotional that President Reese gave, and I believe his wife spoke as well, but I really loved this devotional because he talked about praying to be a miracle in someone's life every day, and I really tried to apply that during the semester. I would pray to God and ask him to give me opportunities to serve, help me recognize people who needed help, and I saw miracles every single day, so I really recommend listening to that.

The opening devotional that President and Sister Reese gave last winter semester about becoming BYU and really considering and pondering how we can make our time at BYU count not only for us but for others and how we can share our talents and abilities every day when we come to school and that really made me think like I've worked so hard to get into this institution and this institution has done so much for me so I have to really belong to this institution and make a difference here not only for me but for others and I just thought that was a really cool perspective and a really cool invitation that President and Sister Reese gave us.

My favorite devotional has definitely been the ones given by President and Sister Reese. They always do an incredible job and there's also so many other amazing people that come, but theirs in particular always just resonate with me, especially because they're usually at the beginning of a semester and their messages are always just super powerful. The one that we just had was President Reese talked about how God loves underdogs and compared it to our football team and it was just such a good message and one I really needed to hear and I feel like that seems to be the case every time. So I highly recommend going to those ones. They're usually at the beginning of a new semester, so definitely recommend because President and Sister Reese are awesome.

Best devotional I think is however long and hard the road might be by Jeffrey R. Holland. Especially for college students it's a good devotional that kind of shows that your efforts now will pay dividends in the future and no matter how hard or long a challenge might seem it comes to an end with devotion and dedication.

My favorite devotionals are when any time an apostle comes, but especially Elder Holland.

I love the devotionals and I think my favorite devotional was one that we had last semester with Elder Kieran and we later learned that he was actually not the one that was scheduled to speak to us that day. Another apostle was scheduled but some things came up and changes were made and I really liked that both him and his wife spoke about this and talked about how life is gonna throw us curveballs and you know once they figured out they were speaking they only had a couple of days to figure out what they were going to say but their messages were so powerful and so um so perfect for what I needed to hear that day but also I just think all students in general we tend to really plan out our lives and when things don't go as planned we we kind of freak out and so I like that they spoke to that and um really encouraged us and let us know that that's okay that's just how life is and we can adjust and the Lord will always help us through it.

One of my favorite devotionals was given by President Holland. He came and he gave a talk Well, he shared this experience, this thing that happened to this family that was just awful and kind of talked about how things are gonna come our way and we can't control those things, but through the enabling power of the atonement we can overcome anything. I thought the story was just so inspiring and he wrapped it up so neatly. I loved it.

So back when I was a student, President Holland was the president for a large part of it, and he and his wife would often do devotionals together, and they sort of jokingly called it the Jeff and Pat show.

My favorite form this year was listening to the creator of the chosen. He had some really cool stories about how he started that up. And then I think my favorite devotionals are definitely just from the Reese's talk. They have so many good insights and I just love them so much and it's super good to hear from them. So every time the Reese's speak, I definitely recommend going.
