I feel like Bolivia for the most part was very safe while I was there and I never really felt nervous or scared. I would say that there's a lot of petty theft that goes along, goes around. Lots of little children that can pickpocket really good and I had a couple incidences where I slipped my little wallet into my bag and I got on a bus and I didn't close it up and people kind of jostled me. I didn't know what was going on and they they stole my little wallet and one of my favorite places to go was the Concha in Cochabamba. It's a great market, open-air market for shopping, but you really have to be careful down there. There's a lot of petty theft. We would carry our bags right next to us and we'd make sure that when we gave our money to the people, the little vendors, that we didn't just flap it around, that we just handed it in a tight fist and put it into their hand just because people just kind of look for opportunities and Americans stand out pretty good.
