They do get a lot of rain in the rain season, so you're gonna want to be careful. You're gonna, like, I can remember my feet, like, sinking in the mud, so definitely bring some boots and umbrella, things like that, for the rain. But with a lot of rain, you'll see the most beautiful rainbows you've ever seen. I still remember those rainbows. Also, one time we had a sandstorm that was insane. I was actually in the city in Cochabamba. I think it was in Linde, actually, and it was crazy. I had never seen anything like that before. It felt like I was in the desert, but other than that, it's just so beautiful, and of course, because you're below the equator, it's opposite, so during Christmas, it's gonna be, like, 100 degrees, and then, you know, during those other months in the summer months for us, June, July, it's gonna be really cold, and it does get cold there, so, you know, bring something warm.

It rains so much. The streets will just fill with water. So make sure you have good rain boots or good rain jackets or a small umbrella that you can pack with you. That's really light and preferably one that you can just stick right into your bag because when it rains it pours so hard. But other than that, you won't get any snow or any other crazy weather since we're not next to an ocean at all, but the rain comes down so hard.

You'll get some snow in Potosi, but for the most part the snow is up in the mountains, especially in Cochabamba. In Chupisa, so down south and right by Argentina, they'll sometimes get dust storms because it's pretty deserted out there and then you can see them coming, so you just take cover as soon as you can. In Cochabamba, there tends to be a lot of rainstorms and it can lead to a lot of the roads flooding depending on what areas you're in. So I bought a pair of boots, just a big pair of rubber boots that I would wear when it was rainy.

I served in a city called Uyuni that's right next to the salt plants, the big salt plants that they have in the world. And so a lot of wind comes around and it's really cold. And so one of the days we were going to church in the morning and you can just see the sandstorm in the sky. It's just coming through. And so we had to endure several sandstorms. And so that was a little bit of crazy weather for me. I had never really dealt with a big sandstorm and having to hold on to everything and block my eyes and try to walk to meetings or visits that we had with other people.
