So the primary language in Benin is French. They teach French in the schools, the government runs on French, it's their official language, but there are also a lot of native languages, a lot of tribal, they call them maternal languages that they speak that are the languages that their tribes spoke before they started all speaking French. In Benin, probably the most common one is called Fon or Fongue, and it's it's a very different language, but we we would learn basic greetings, you know, just like really really really basic conversations, a couple sentences just to kind of just to kind of talk to people and get them kind of laughing at, oh look at the look at the white boy trying to speak Fon, and they appreciated that we were putting in that effort, and then we would switch over to French and continue talking in French.
