Something interesting about our bodies is that we can digress physically as we experience very trying emotional or mental experiences. So this is especially true for kids. When I was little, about three years old, my mom married my stepdad and I love my stepdad, but it was a very different experience for me because he and his son moved into our house, we moved in together, it was just very different and it was a lot for a three-year-old to handle. So as a three-year-old, I had been potty trained and I never wet the bed, never wet my underwear, but when this all happened and this change happened in my life, my body digressed and went back to wetting the bed. That was just my body's way of dealing with the traumatic experience in my life and it's really interesting that things like that can happen and that's normal, especially in young kids.
