My brother and I both have asthma and so over the years the ways we've learned to support each other and other people with asthma are to, if somebody's involved in really intense exercise, just kind of gently remind them, hey, remember to not go too hard. If you feel like you can't breathe or you need some extra help, take your inhaler. You can remind somebody to take their inhaler if they have it. The other thing that you can do is if somebody does kind of start to get point where they're having an asthma attack, they feel like they can't breathe, they feel like they're not getting enough air into their lungs, is just to make sure you stay with them and remind them to breathe calmly and slowly and deeply. If it gets to the point where it's gone on for a long enough time, if the attack is getting severe, you can recommend that they go to the hospital or even call an ambulance for them. However, just make sure you don't leave them for sure if they're in the middle of an asthma attack.
