There's a lot of really old churches in Armenia that predate to as early as like the 3rd century. So one of the most notable ones is called Horvirap. It means deep pit and for Armenia it's where their church was born. It's basically where the man named Grigor Lusavorich who started their apostolic church that they have today. It's where he lived in a, the legend is he lived in a hole for like 14 years and was fed by this woman who would drop food down to him and eventually he escaped and was able to convert the king in his household. It's a really pretty church building located on a crest with the Mount Ararat in the back. There's also Garthni which is a like a pagan temple and Gerhard which is close by to that, another ancient Armenian church. There's Noravank, there's Edhmiatsin, and there's Marmashen, there's Sevanavank. So those are just all different church buildings located in different areas of the country that are really really pretty and typically located in very pretty locations.
