AI can be harmful for children if they become over-reliant upon it, especially in the realm of creativity and other things. AI can only ever produce an average result, devoid of personality and human emotion, the zest that gives art and creative things meaning. Because, well, that's what AI is. AI is the average of a bunch of data it's eaten. And so if children become reliant on it, both for creative stuff, but also for answers, AI answers are not always correct. In fact, frequently, there are small things that are incorrect in AI. If a child becomes too reliant on it, it will be harmful to their development and their understanding of the world and the development of their natural personal creativity.

I think right now we live in such an interesting world where we kind of don't really know the effects of AI and how that's going to affect the way we think and the way we do things. And so I think that can be pretty harmful if we let children, or any of us honestly, get too attached to it. And I think it's a great tool to learn and it can do a lot of good, but I think it's also really important that children are learning the things that they need to learn, especially before they become an adult. I feel like there's so many valuable things to learn that AI could take away from them quickly if they get a hold of it.
