Sheridan Crime
What’s the crime like in Sheridan? (hot spot areas, etc.)
- Fairly low. Good place to raise kids. (Richard, 2 years)
- Very little that I know of. (Evelyn, 3 years)
- I had a stereo and vehicle stolen. (James, 5 years)
- My home town is a high crime area, in Wyoming and I work at the Sheridan county jail. No place is immune to crime, but I have to say that for the population size, the overall crime here is low. (Anonymous, 8 years)

- We have very little crime here, however we have had a lot of theft lately. (Pamela, 11 years)
- I am sure there are some, but haven’t personally experienced anything. I have accidentally left my purse or wallet in my cart or at the checkout a few times only to find it turned in and exactly how I left it. (Christy, 13 years)

Any advice for people moving to Sheridan?
- Do your homework. Sheridan is very expensive and simply doesn’t have the jobs to support such a pricey community. (Richard, 2 years)

- People are friendly, but it takes awhile for them to accept you if you weren’t born in Sheridan. (Duffie, 9 years)
- Don’t, the more that come, the less likely Sheridan will stay small and friendly!(Pamela, 11 years)
- This is a great place to raise a family. Go to the library, go to the YMCA- find out about all of the great activities for families- most of which are a fair price and often free. (Christy, 13 years)

How do you think Sheridan will change over the next 10 years?
- Sheridan will continue to grow with most of the people coming from out of state. Sheridan has a high retirement community which contributes to the fact that most people can’t afford it here. (Richard, 2 years)
- Ok, I believe it will grow and jobs will be more plentiful and better paying with new companies moving in. (Evelyn, 3 years)
- I feel the population will grow, bringing in new businesses. (Anonymous, 8 years)
- Not much other then the Powder Horn there isn’t much to do and the coal industry is changing so work is going to change. (Duffie, 9 years)
