What’s your favorite thing about living in North Logan?

  • Friendly neighbors and great views (sorry that was two things). (Rachel, 5 months)

  • Used to be the open space, the fields, the farming. But the N. Logan City Council / Mayor have taken away SO MUCH of that since I’ve lived here with development. And NOT nice homes, but high- density apartments and condos. NOT what N. Logan should have. I’m considering moving because of it. (Bonnie, 13 years)

  • Pumpkin Walk. 24th of July parade and great free activities for families at the park afterwards, library, enjoying what space and “rural” feel that is left so far. (Bonnie, 13 years)

What’s the crime like in North Logan?

  • I know there have been issues with thefts, broken car windows, and vandalism at the LDS church building I attend. (Bonnie, 13 years)

  • Very low crime rate from what I have seen and heard. There are some things that have happened, but the police are very good to work with people and do a good job at keeping it as safe as possible. (Chelsey, 23 years)

Share an experience you’ve had in North Logan (fun, crazy, dangerous, etc.).

  • Wonderful concerts at the Logan Tabernacle. (Rachel, 5 months)
  • My neighbors called animal control while we were training a new puppy- they never once contacted us about it being an issue. Now they have a couple dogs who are loud and annoying, but I would never call animal control on them without addressing the problem first. (Aimee, 2 years)
  • Going to our neighborhood picnic. (Susan, 9 years)
  • I love it on the 24th of July when the fire trucks come to the park and spray water on whomever chooses to get nice and WET!! Enjoy the library and the parks. (Bonnie, 13 years)
  • I enjoy the pioneer day activities and fireworks displays. (Tarah, 14 years)
  • I’ve loved the parades on the 24th of July. Seeing my friends and neighbors gathered talking and enjoying each other is awesome! (Sallie, 17 years)
  • There was one year that the health department had to shut down the annual 24th of July breakfast for a minor infraction. It was the one year Grandpa Joe was gone. That was crazy. There was so much leftover food we were frantically trying to give it away. And the health department heard all about it from some pretty fired up residents. Haha. Good times… (Chelsey, 23 years)

  • Walking the dog along the dirt road on 6th east. farmers market entertainers. The animal control officer is so concerned about the animals and the people he works with. He was very helpful and kind. (Janean, 43 years)

How do you think North Logan will change over the next 10 years?

  • Fewer fields as houses and shops are built. (Rachel, 5 months)
  • More housing and people, but I hope they try to keep green areas in neighborhoods. (Susan, 9 years)
  • More high density housing that will turn into rental slum-villes. (Bonnie, 13 years)
  • A lot more people moving in. (Tarah, 14 years)
  • It will become more busy as we try and get an active city center… (Sallie, 17 years)
  • Well, it’s already grown so much. The growth I predict will just keep coming. (Chelsey, 23 years)
