Nibley Stories

Share an experience you’ve had in Nibley (fun, crazy, dangerous, etc.).

  • When we first moved here, I went to the Nibley city offices instead of the townhall. A nice man noticed we were in the wrong spot, directed us to the correct place and gave us a big bag of kettle corn while welcoming us to Nibley. I almost cried! People were not that nice where we moved from! (Kali, 2 years)
  • Seeing the Christmas lights on the homes and watching fireworks. (Ali, 6 years)
  • The day we moved in, all I could smell was cow. I must have gotten used to it for the most part since then, it doesn’t bug me now. (Jennalee, 6.5 years)
  • Outdoor movies during the summer. (Darren Tarr, 8 years)

Nibley’s Future

How do you think Nibley will change over the next 10 years?

  • More houses. (Kali, 2 years)
  • I think it will keep growing. (Lorrie, 2 years)
  • Hopefully about the same. I like the space and the agricultural feel that’s a large part of who we are. I moved out of a big city because of all the condos and too many people. Condos and apartments look nice to start but always fall into disrepair and then to low income housing that doesn’t get taken care of. Not that there is anything wrong with low income housing, I just don’t want it ignored across the way from me. (Ali, 6 years)
  • More houses, maybe a little more business popping up. (Jennalee, 6.5 years)
  • Will expand to have more small business and restaurants. (Darren Tarr, 8 years)
  • I think the open space is going to be more limited. (Kaylyn, 9 years)
  • More people. (Anonymous, 10 years)
  • Grow, less of a rural feel. (Anonymous, 11 years)
  • Lots of houses being built. (Lisa, 12 years)
  • If it continues there will be a significant burst in population because of allowing large apartment complexes and small lots. (Shauna, 14 years)
  • More people! (Brandon, 15 years)
  • I think it will grow. (Sandra, 15 years)
