Logan, Utah: The Future

How do you think Logan will change over the next 10 years?

  • I don’t expect it to change much. (Victoria, 5 months)
  • I have the advantage or already having seen it change over ten years, from when I moved out to now. I think it will get progressively busier. I think more people will come and live in this valley. I hope it becomes much more environmentally sustainable and healthy to do that, as people gain awareness and change t heir lifestyles to help our health and the health of our planet. (Rachael, 6 months)
  • It seems to be growing, but not very fast. I hope things stay the same except I hope 200 East gets a few more lanes or lights so it’s less crazy during rush hours. (Ashley, 11 months)
  • Yes, it will get more busy and crowded. (Ashley, 1 year)
  • It will grow a lot. (Josh, 1 year)
  • It will grow slightly, but only because of the university. Other than that it won’t change much. (Tucker, 1 year)
  • I think it will continue to grow and that we will hopefully get a Costco, Winco, In & Out, and Del Taco here! (Brenda, 1 year and 2 months)
  • Not much, just more student living places. (1 1/2 years)
  • More people, more housing. (Christine, 2 years)
  • It will get bigger; traffic congestion will get worse unless new arteries are made. (David, 2 years)
  • Lots of Growth. (Derek, 2 years)
  • More student housing. (Galen, 2 years)
  • It will grow. (Jessica, 2 years)
  • I hope it doesn’t. (Laura, 2 years)
  • I think it will grow a lot. (Morgan, 2 years)
  • More diversity, more understanding of different cultures and people. Probably some changes of shops on Main Street. Maybe slightly more expensive tuition (but c’mon, yeah the rates are going up but Utah State is comparatively really cheap). (Bria, 2+ years)
  • I’m not sure. I’m not planning to stay that long. (Elizabeth, 2.5 years)
  • More stores and hot spots. (Ari, 3 years)
  • It will grow bigger, and driving here will be even worse. (Hannah, 3 years)
  • I’m not sure, I hope for the better. I know we’re getting a new library that will be awesome. I wish we had a better recreation center with a nice indoor pool. (Laura, 3 years)
  • I think it’s getting bigger and bigger. More industry and more people. (Rachel, 3 years)
  • More modernized. (Taylor, 3 years)
  • More people, more businesses. (Rebecca, 3.5 years)
  • The campus is going to get busier and larger, so a lot more housing and parking is going to have to happen. (Darcie, 4 years)
  • Logan’s population will grow. More businesses will come and farmland/open space will decrease. (Kari, 4 years)
  • More people will move here. (Leah, 4 years)
  • It’ll get bigger. (Nathan, 4 years)
  • More expansion and subsequent loss of community. It’s the way of things. (Becca, 5 years)

  • More people, unfortunately. (Kayla, 5 years)
  • Target is coming. (Scott, 5 years)
  • It will get more crowded and more apartment places will be built. (Ashley, 5.5 years)
  • It will become more populated. (Cody, 6 years)
  • Worse traffic, more stupid rednecks. (Tiffany, 7 years)
  • Traffic will get worse. (Anna, 8 years)
  • It is growing, hopefully Logan can get better at city planning. (Mary, 8 years)
  • More inner city feel with growth in the county. (Heidi, 11 years old)
  • I think it will continue to grow. I just hope they don’t get rid of some of the historical buildings. And maybe we will have a Target. (Maia, 11 years )
  • It’s getting busier. The traffic will get even worse, and I’m afraid that the homeless population will continue to grow. It’s grown considerably in just a few years, but still isn’t bad in the slightest. On a better note, they are getting even more good shopping areas and places for kids and families. More schools are being built all the time. (McKenna, 12 years)
  • Get bigger, hold onto small town culture. (Paul, 13 years)
  • I honestly don’t think it will change too much, haha. Maybe less girls will sell LuLaRoe here? 😀 (Becca, 15 years)
  • I think we’ll have some better food places, and may grow and advance a bit. (Murf, 15 years)
  • Probably more box stores. (Anonymous, 18 years)
  • More crowded. (Jaana, 19 years)
  • Welcome to White Trash Valley! We’re book ended by box stores. Downtown is all but dead. Crappy new builds are sprawling out in all directions… Sadly, Logan passed the tipping point of smart, preservation planning. Now it’s all downhill with unchecked growth and the eventual eradication of everything that once gave the Valley it’s charm and character. (Jessica, 20 years)
  • Very slight continued diversity, slight population growth. (Paul, 21 years)
  • Will keep expanding, rent will continue to go up and salaries really won’t. Maybe some more industry will be brought in. (Allison, 22 years)
  • It is growing and will continue to grow. (Marianne, 23 years)
  • It will grow… Hopefully not too much! (Megan, 23 years)
  • There will be more sprawl, but hopefully we’ll ultimately build upwards and not outwards. Cache Valley, as a whole, is filling up very quickly and I expect we’ll start seeing the cities and towns bleed together into a mega-city (like SLC area) if we’re not careful with planning. I think the populace will continue to diversify and that we’ll see greater cultural co-mingling. (Casey, 28 years)
  • Hopefully we can get more of a night life. (Trent, 29 years)
  • Hopefully. (Grace, 30 years)
  • Lots more population, traffic, crazier. (Wendy, 30+ years)
  • More people. (Gary, 31 years)
