  • Don’t? Newcomers are raising home buying costs and rent to ridiculous levels and clogging up the highways with traffic. Ten years ago it was unheard of to be stuck in a traffic jam on 75 on the weekend, now it happens to me every time. (Misty, 17 years)
  • Leave near a rail station. (Shannan, 20 years)
  • Do you like to shop and eat? Because that is what we offer. (Anonymous, 38 years)

Dallas’s Future

How do you think Dallas will change over the next 10 years?

  • Traffic will continue to get worse, but culture will continue to explode. (Lori, 1.5 years)
  • It will BOOM, and in doing so, will (hopefully) become a less segregated and more culturally rich city. (Maggie, 2 years)
  • More crowded, more traffic, more generic townhomes and shopping centers to the detriment of history and good taste. (Misty, 17 years)
  • More people. (Shannan, 20 years)
  • More crime and sprawl of big box apartments that embrace short sighted architectural value. Giant increases in property taxes will eclipse the benefits of living in a state with no income tax and the business-friendly appeal will have competition. (Anonymous, 38 years)
  • I hope for the better. (Sheila, 53 years)
