What’s your favorite thing about living in Bountiful?

  • The neighborhood feel with lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. (Shaylise, 6 months)

What’s Bountiful known for?

What’s the crime like in Bountiful? (hot spot areas, etc.)

  • Seems like crimes of opportunity are the big thing, regardless of where you live in the city. (Doorstep pirates, open garages) (Sarah, 7 years)

  • There’s very little crime that I am aware of. (Bob, 16 years)
  • Not too many bad places. But I would say west Bountiful, due to a bar over there. (Maddie, 16 years)
  • Hot spots are off the hill. In the “rougher” areas. (Misty, 20 years)

Bountiful Stories

Share an experience you’ve had in Bountiful (fun, crazy, dangerous, etc.).

  • The local Mormon church group threw us a party when we moved in so the neighborhood could meet us. It was kind and unexpected. I was grateful for it. (Sarah, 7 years)
  • I loved to play and picnic in Mueller Park. (Hillary, 9 years)
  • Used to love to walk to the Queen Theater. Street is way too busy now! (Shelley, 12 years)
  • I’ve had too many to list – but one that sticks out in my mind is how all the neighbors rallied together after a big windstorm several years ago and pitched in to clean up the numerous downed trees throughout the city. They converged upon everyone’s house with chain saws and trucks and then cleaned everything up! (Bob, 16 years)
  • The fun parades in July or the farmers markets. (Maddie, 16 years)
  • People here are helpful. Always willing to help with car trouble or shoveling a driveway. (Misty, 20 years)

How do you think Bountiful will change over the next 10 years?

  • Growth in population. Should start considering traffic and congestion in the city rather than just the freeway entrance. (Sarah, 7 years)
